The statement details trends of degree outcomes over time and the policies and processes we use to ensure the integrity of our awards, including details of our degree classification algorithm.

Transfer policy
There may be instances where students have started their degree at a different university and would like to transfer to complete their studies at UAL. This may be due to a change in personal circumstances.
UAL is committed to supporting students who are considering transfer. We accept students transferring from other universities for both undergraduate and postgraduate entry on a case-by-case basis and if places are available.
If a student wishing to undertake a transfer they must meet the following criteria:
- Currently be studying on a course in an equivalent subject area.
- Have covered sufficiently similar content to that of our first year students.
- Successfully completed 120 credits (undergraduate) or 60 credits (postgraduate) at the time of entry, in the equivalent units/modules on their current course and demonstrate the potential to succeed on the course. Offer of admission will be conditional until official documentation (e.g. university transcript) of credits successfully completed has been received.
- Meet current requirements for UAL to sponsor their visa if required.

External Transfer for Undergraduate Students
If you feel you meet these requirements then please apply to the course as outlined on the course webpage as early as possible (transfer students normally apply when their first term/semester results are published) and we can then assess your eligibility and consider your application. Please be aware you will need to select your 'point of entry' as year two.
On your application please include:
- The exact name of the award you are studying towards.
- The institution at which you are studying.
- The units/modules you have taken.
External Transfer for Postgraduate Students
If you feel you meet these requirements then please apply directly to the course via the course webpage as early as possible (transfer students normally apply when their first term/semester results are published) and we can then assess your eligibility and consider your application. Please be aware you will need to select your 'point of entry' as year one and indicate in your application that you are applying with credit.
On your application please include:
- The exact name of the award you are studying towards.
- The institution at which you are studying.
- The units/modules you have taken.
This information will enable us to make a more informed decision as to whether the content that you have studied is to an appropriate level for entry to the course. Please be aware that you must meet all of the above requirements, otherwise your application is unlikely to be successful.
All applications are referred to the Admissions Service who will consider your application in conjunction with the Course Admissions Tutor. You will be informed of the outcome of your application via UCAS or email.
UAL will produce a transcript to assist any UAL students seeking transfer to another institution.

Transparency information
Detailed admissions information broken down by a range of factors about who applies to study at UAL, and who gets a place.
The information published shows:
- The number of applications for admission on to recognised, undergraduate higher education courses that we have received from UK domiciled applicants.
- The number of offers we have made in relation to those applications.
- The number of those offers accepted and the number of those who have registered with us.
- The number of students who attained a particular degree or other academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with us.
It also shows these numbers by reference to:
- The gender of the individuals to which they relate
- Their ethnicity
- Their socio-economic background.
It is important to note that the data presented has not been contextualised. This means, for example, that you will not be able to see from this data how many of those applying to courses met the entry criteria. It is also the case that universities and colleges will often receive many more applications than they have spaces on courses and so offer rates will necessarily be lower than application rates in those circumstances.
