In April, we held our first UAL Berlin Alumni Gathering, a letterpress workshop. Alumni from across all six of our Colleges attended the event as well as prospective students who will be joining University of the Arts London (UAL) in September.

The event was hosted by experimental letterpress studio, p98A.berlin. Over drinks and networking, guests were invited to use the letterpress equipment to create their own UAL artwork.

p98A.berlin was set up by German Designer Erik Spiekermann, and Erik gave a welcome speech to guests providing information on the studio and the activities that take place there.

The evening was a great chance for people to meet with old and new friends, and to start building our creative network in the city.

Thank you to everyone who came, and we hope to see you at the next event soon!

We’re always looking for new volunteers to join the UAL Berlin Alumni Association Committee to help us with future activities such as staging graduate exhibitions, private studio visits, practical art workshops, talks, mentoring and social meet-ups. If you are interested in getting involved, please get in touch with Caroline Archer (c.archer@arts.ac.uk).
